Ive seen some very fancy P traps for sinks at the local megabox hardware. Of course you have to buy the sink to get the plumbing. Anybody know were to get fittings like these?

Thanks for the pic and the links Ron. It was nice to revisit them as it reminded me of somthing I had planned way back when, but never got around to doing. You once had a link for bending the sides of the box. Is that still around? Did you ever try using plaster instead of sand for one of your boxes...

I messed with the idea of getting a speedburn kiln but the cost was prohibitive, and making one. Well I wasn't convinced that available ceramic elements could withstand repeted ramping. I aslo wasn't sure I would get even heat. I gave up and bought an electric fast ramping denver. They are thin wall...

speaking of blasting, here's a nifty link. it's a syphon blaster, but it's got a smaller orfice than regular syphon types, making it use less air.

I like my denver, but you will need to do more upkeep than you would for most kilns. That was a plus for me because it forced me to learn how my kiln works. Now I could build a denver type kiln from scratch. They have a problem with the lid insulation board warping down and resting on the elements. ...

I just want to make sure I understand how it's hung. The elements are suspended in the quartz tubes, and the tubes (not the elements) are suspended by nicrome wire, right? How many wires does it take to suport one tube? I rebuilt mine using Denver's ceramic rods in a simialr way, but I'm unhappy wit...
