Armstrong & Youghiogheny Float Compatible glass

I just got back from Glass Craft Expo. There was some great stuff. I got to take a lot of classes including a pate de verre class stack block class, a Bullseye box casting demo. Came back loaded to the gills with glass and tools & lots of great products. I brought back some of Armstrong's new pa...

A hanging offense!

I am working out a big project consisting of fused panels 9" or 12" square that will be hanging in a larger frame. I need to hang each panel individually & they need to be removable. I was thinking of fusing a mandrel at the top of each panel with about an inch sticking out on each end...

Now we're cooking!

I have been fusing in my little Aim 84BD for the last year & am waiting for my new Skutt GM1018.

Very exciting since I will be able to fit a shelf about 16" bigger in it.

So, I was hoping that some of you are using this kiln & maybe have some tips for me?

Please?

For polishing metal I use stainless steel shot instead of grit. I know other metalworkers use this as well. It only takes an hour or two to polish silver up this way.
Also, dipping solutions with take tarnish off metal but they do not make it shine. You will have to mechanically polish it for that.
