Kris: Use fiber paper as a dam. Similar to the SS ring. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice Tony - I decided not to do multiple shelves - just to be patient and take my time.

Loading kiln question

Good morning everyone: My kiln inside dimensions are 20x20x15. top elements only. I have so many pieces that I need to "full fuse". I was hoping I could load the kiln with 2 shelfs (one on top of the other) and save time firing the pieces. My question is - since the elements are top only -...

Hi Judy.
Yes, I am in the Tampa area. Funny, I contacted Art Glass House a week ago to set up an account with them. It is a 2 hour ride for me - so I could order, go pick up, stop over in Coco for lunch and then head home. I am always up for a road trip!!

Where are you?

Hi Tom: I am flexible as far as mounting singly or as a unit. I would like for them go from 1/8" up to 1". Perhaps more. I originally wanted to mount them singly. I thought perhaps something along the line of a piece of metal in the shape of "U" - something like they use for trus...

art hangers that project?

Good morning everyone. I am looking for something that might not exsist. I have made 12 4"x4" tiles that I wish to mount on the wall. However, I want some to be flat against the wall and some to protrude out. I am having difficulty finding hardware that will work. Any ideas? Do you know an...

Nice test - bright colors, I really like that. I am confused, what type (coe) frit is this? Is it made specially for float?
thanks

ML, I would think it would depend on the glass, thickness and your kiln. Your going to have to experiment. To save money, just cut small circles and watch it.

On a single thickness of BE in my kiln to round off the edges, I go to 1450.
