EMBOSSING,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what is the tool

can anyone tell me about the embossing, what is the tool made of, is it like a graphite masher, would a simple plaster cast work,

The commercial embossing products are brass. Plaster won't withstand repeated use at the necessary temperature (1300 to 1400 F).

What I call embossing is also referred to as kiln carving. I use Unifrax 970 paper that is 1/32" thick. You cut the paper and layer it up, then fire over it. Any pattern that you can cut with a razor knife can be embossed on the glass.
