Phoenix wire cutter

Post by watershed »

Somewhere in my few memory cells, I remember reading about something called a wire cutter. I imagined it as a kind of band saw for glass. Or maybe a jewelers saw. Can anyone help my addled brain?

Or if I'm completely off base, I want to cut through / pierce a sheet of glass. A sandblaster wouldn't give me the precision I want. Water jet might, but then I'd have to find/pay someone.

Thanks
Greg

You might mean a Gryphon wire saw. It can work as a normal glass saw, or you can drill a hole, fit the blade in, and cut from the inside out.
