Schedules for Murano (Effetre)?

Post by Peg »

I've got some Murano sheet and millefiori, coe 104.
I'm firing 2 layers sheet + millifiofi + bits of cut sheet. Sheet colours clear + turquoise transp + translucent white. (max 11cm square)

I've done compatability tests to 800 (deg C), anneal 30 min at 520, and all seems OK - this gave a 'full but not flat' fuse.

I want to fuse flat (I tried 836, Bullseye full fuse) but this was too hot and the glass flowed out.

Anyone have a schedule for a full flat fuse, also for a shallow slump?

(working with a front loading kiln, shelf size 45 x 30 cm)

Never fused it, only done tests, but it seems to me you are already half way there to an answer. Start watching it at 800, and you will find the magic number. What works in my kiln may not work in yours, anyway.
