i saw this in a recent delphi catalog i received - if i was going to use something for quick color tests i think i would use a quickfire - which i am known to dislike - rather than this thing! AND they say to not use the same microwave that you use for food ;P so you gotta have a dedicated microwave for it...

For about the same price you can get an AIM kiln. I've been used mine as my primary jewelry kiln for years and it's a real work horse. http://aimkilns.com/html/small.html
