Anyone try this shelf liner. What is it made of, how much does it cost, and who is selling it. Web site lavacloth.com did not have much more than descriptive info. Thanks!

Marty at Centre DeVerre is selling it and has three different weaves/weights available. It is silica cloth and leaves the fabric texture on the glass when you full-fuse on it.

is this a one time use or re-usable? I think I've seen it on the back side of cabs for texture that can be glued easily vs a smooth back.

I get somewhere around 12 firings per piece... there are ways to extend its useful life... one is by rubbing mica into the weave. I'm sure a light sifting of kilnwash would do the same, but then you have to deal with the kaolin breaking down at the high temperatures. The fabric degrades when the glass works its way deep into the weave and has to be peeled off thereby fracturing the silica fibers.
