I believe there is someone on this board living in Kauai. I am leaving this morning for Kauai and would love to meet you while I am on the island. My name is Candy Kahn and my husband Larry and I are staying at the new Poipu Marriott. If you would give me a call there maybe we could get together.

the other two i know of are on Maui and O'ahu.

Poipu means "pounding rocks," or "thundering rocks." we've been having strong surf running, so you'll find out about the meaning of the word while you're there.
