I just looked in to it. It turns out there are various levels of replacement parts. The best looking deal I found was for an OEM screen with tools shipped for $35. There were some cheaper versions, I saw on Amazon, but the reviews were horrific. I did see others for up to $90. I saw a video that showed a 5 minute repair, but people kept saying it took them a couple of hours.

Having opened that sucker up myself, I would say "couple hours" beggars the imagination.

I guess is is all about fine motor dexterity and the ability to not lose screws. I never met a little screw that didn't fall to the floor, with a relatively high percentage never being found again. I will probably try doing this repair inside a big plastic box.
