this is b.e. steel blue. it's not devit, nor is it the thinfire. at the temps he's using, it's starting to develop the normal silvery gray coating that the steel blues (opal, transparent) develop. capping with clear is the solution.

Sprinkle a thin coat of BE clear powder over the project before firing and you will prevent the devit. I do it on almost every project, but ALWAYS with BE reds, blues, and purples.
