Fire Polishing small jewelry pieces

Hello, I used a mold to to do a couple of jewelry items and some of the edges came out a little bit rough. I have been told I could just use my grinder, would I use my grinder or would it be better to use my Gryphon Wet Belt Sander? if so, on what number belt should I use? also, would I need to fire polish after ?
Any, help would be much appreciated, thank you.

I usually just use my grinder for small things like jewelry and fire polish afterwards. If they need a lot of work, e.g., changing the basic shape, it's good to start with a coarse grit and finish up with a finer grit head (220 or 600). In any case, drop the piece into water after grinding to keep grinder scum from getting embedded on the edges or scrub them right away. Otherwise, you can get an ugly edge where you ground them after you fire polish.

also suggest you use a borax based devit agent when doing the fire polish.
