Lepage multipurpose 100% glue

Post by Kevin Midgley »

Curious to know the longevity of the bonds I've made glass to glass. Seems strong enough. I reassembled a broken glass trophy to its glass base that was brought to me no problem.
Instructions are apply glue to one side.
Press or tape together or clamp for at least 30 minutes.
Final strength with a 24 hour cure time.
Made by Henkel in Germany.
Relatively cheap too for a 50 ml bottle with no solvents added, as I recall less than $10.
Lists itself as being Strong, Water resistant, Transparent, Flexible and good for +50C to -40C
Only being water resistant suggests it isn't good for jewelry that may be exposed to water.
Contains trimethoxyvinylsilane and has the usual health cautions for usage with methanol being released during the cure.
Anyone else tried it out?
