diamond glass tile saw blade size

Bought a 4" diamond blade at Lonnie's in Phoenix with a .012 kerf.
Seems pretty thin to cut fused glass pieces. Is there a better size kerf
to stick with instead of the .012. Have looked into the MK 303 4"
.20 Is that a better size? Thanks Val

Blade theory and practice.
Thinner wastes less glass per cut goes slower because of fewer diamonds.
Thicker can have more diamonds on the edge but will waste more glass.
Thinner can bend easier!
If you are doing pattern bars a regular tile saw with a 10" or bigger blade from HIS would be best.
If you want to get rid of the saw and blade and get a tile saw instead, PM me.

I bought a Ryobi 7" tile saw and a 7" glass tile blade. total cost about $150. Works great.

The larger the blade the longer potential blade life as they have more diamonds doing the work.
Smaller blades work and given the price of a large lapidary saw blade, you'd better be doing a lot of cutting to make it worth your while.

Thanks for the replies. I have a 7" tile saw already with good blade.
Wanted a small tile saw for straight cuts and some angles, but
convenient to set up and use in a pinch. Will probably take back the .012 kerf
blade and get a good .20 kerf from Rio Grande.

check out blades from www.lopacki.com, Dan used to have some good prices on the 4" diamond blades and he can be very helpful.
