Emissions and studio safety

The recent events has made me wonder about just what is happening to the air in my own studio if I'm fusing or casting with red colored glass, for instance. Any thoughts?

The problem occurs when the glass is being made, heated to 2400F or thereabouts, and some of the chemical components go up the smokestack and into the air.
