I am trying to get directions on how to make a wall pocket in a single firing. Any help?

Well, I've made them with a layer of fiber paper in between the two layers - about 1/4" of fiber which you wash out afterwards. I had lots of trouble with thermal shocking them, cause the fiber shields the bottom glass from the heat, so I gave up after a short while.
