Dust Collector fittings

Post by Don Burt »

My dust collector has a 2 1/2" intake hole. My hose end is 2 1/4". Incredibly, this results in a leaky fit. My solutions have involved duct tape and foam core board and aren't satisfactory . It's time to step up my game. I'm not emotionally attached to the 2 1/4" hose. It may be replaced. I don't see any specific part kits for sale online. McMaster-Carr has all kinds of hose and fittings, but I don't really want to experiment. This isn't an exotic configuration. I have 2 x 2 1/2 inch holes I want to connect with a hose. Can somebody point me to a kit? Thanks in advance.

Get thee to the hardware store, not HD, where you will find someone who will sell you a flange that you can screw to the canister and adapt to the hose.
