Relay Mishap

I had a large kiln load of (thankfully) first-firing glass that was all double 3mm pieces of 18" x 3" strips. I went to check before bedtime, and three hours after starting the kiln it was already up to 1440°. Other than a few more little champagne bubbles than usual, all look fine this morning. No thermal shock cracks that I can see. After I change the relays, my next step is to do tack fuse on these pieces, then a final slump firing. Should I go ahead with my usual firings OR fire to anneal them before I go any further?
