using embedded fused glass in cement countertop

Post by kgordon »

I am making a kitchenette in our basement - including a cement table top and having professionals fabricate the counters. Has anyone had any experience with using fused glass elements embedded into the concrete -like any inlay (not the recycled glass bits as you see everywhere). Thanks for any advice. Kim

Hi Kim
I have just finished casting and staining a cement table top with a 12 x 12 fused glass textured greenman tile inset into the cement.

I used the reversed process of casting this (table top was on the bottom of the form. The tile appears to be very well set in the cement.

Seth
