Easy Fire enamels

Post by Vonon »

Is there any difference between Fusemaster high fire opaque enamels and the (new to me) Easy Fire enamels? Also what is the deal with Colors for Earth? Are they re-branded ceramic undercoat glaze? I got distracted from glass work for a couple of years and now have all these new choices to deal with. TIA for any information you could offer.

Lots of enamels out there, none are the same. You'll have to check the specifications (firing recommendations) and content (lead or non-lead, COE dependent or not) for each enamel to make comparisons.

Since Easy Fire and Fusemaster are marketed by the same people (Fusion Headquarters), I would contact them to ask the specific differences between the two. It's possible that Easy Fire is just the high fire Fusemaster rebranded. Ask them to know for sure.
