copper inclusion

Postby Michael Stevens » Sat Jan 11, 2020 10:26 pm

I wanted to add this thin copper 2mm thick twisted copper. into a 5inch diameter glass orb. would the metal cause breakage because too thick. leaf or foil wouldn't give the effect I was looking for.

is there a formula for dimension of metal inclusion vs thickness of glass object?

2mm is too thick. It will almost certainly crack.

No formula that I'm aware of. It would depend on the particular metal, of course.

.2mm should be thin enough. Try a small piece as a test.
