I found it under "Abrasives". Do shop around. I found that prices vary dramatically. $25 for a 50lb bag is what I pay too.

I just talked to a guy who makes stone monuments. He told me about something called "Banding Sand" and he says it's a very sharp, efficient abrasive. Cheap, too. I was talking to him about sandblasting a photographic image and he says I should use this "banding sand".

It's 0000 (four O s) size particle, said if the particle was any smaller it would be dust. He get's it from Bicknell Supply somewhere in Georgia.

Call 1-800-241-7105.

I'm going to try it as soon as I can get it.

Oh yea, He says he uses tons of it and gets it for about $7.50/ 100 lbs.

Sand is cheap. Sand is use once. Aluminum oxide you can reuse over and over again. Sand is usually slow cutting. Aluminum oxide is faster cutting. Now which is cheaper? Kevin
