A-14

Post by Rebecca M. »

Anybody been using Thompsons A-14? I was using it today with the screening and painting paint and it seems like it's taking forever to dry. Probably because I have to slump this tray and be done by tomorrow. Any harm in firing it a bit wet?

Yes, it may be slow drying but it beats having to clean the screen after each piece.

It takes about 3-4 hours to dry by itself. Heat in the kiln to speed it up. Maybe 150-175 f for 15 min.

Thanks Ron. I guess I was being a little too impatient. I was painting with a brush so it's thicker than screening. Nice paint though.
