recycled glass in Crete.... (Illinois)

I got an e-mail today on a different glass board that I am on.. it was from: "barbs" <barb_d_@webtv.net>
Here is the message: hi, my name is Barb. Back in June of 2003 I moved from Dyer, Indiana
to Salem, Ohio. I was a member of the Crete Lion Club. I transferred
to the Salem Lions Club. Right now I am in the process of moving
from
Salem, back to the area of Crete, Illinois.
We have a recycling center that takes in sometimes large quantities of
green and blue glass. I am trying to find a way to recycle these
bottles as we don't have a buyer for them at this time.
I know the green is hard to melt down but I was thinking maybe members
of this forum might have some suggestions because the purpose of having
the center is so we don't put as much in the dumpster.
I have contacted some companies that make products out of recycled
green
and blue glass.....but most of them are too far away for it to be
convenient.
looking forward to hearing from you.....
Did not know if anyone would be interested.....
