Step one.... Remove all shelves and furniture from the kiln
Step two .... Vacuum out the bottom of the kiln.. and around the elements
Step three... and this is bold.... put kiln wash on the floor of the kiln, incase glass ever drops down there.

Boy that was easy... how come we did not do this sooner....

Stuart,

It's much easier the way I did it... buy kiln, open lid, apply kiln wash to floor of kiln, add kiln furniture, add shelf. 8)

that is true. but eventually you will need to vacuum it out...
