base color for dicro cabs

Post by Bill Bromage »

I've been making a signifigant amount of dicro cabs with CBS clear back and both BE thin black and cobalt as a base colors. I want to try some other base colors possibly in greens, pinks or others?? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what has given you some interesting effects and color contrast? Thanks in advance.

I like the adventurine green, pale amethyst irid, and the black irids for giving great backgrounds to dichro usage.

For interesting "clear" I use BE iridized/pattern clear as a back (IRID down) and then top with Dichro with the coated side down.

Gives lots' of interesting plays of light.
