Bottle removed from kiln wall and shelf.

Post by Nancy Juhasz »

Hi, The bottle mess is over. :D Talk about relief. Here is how things set up. I had the shelf right under the pyrometer by about a 1/2 inch so if the bottle didn't break away from the side I was in trouble. The bottle managed to get itself attached to 3 sides of my 8 sided shelf. I know quite a feat. I went down and decided to try to move the shelf a bit away from the bottle. It came loose from the side just like Susan said it would. I tried to lift the bottle up off the shelf, it broke into a bunch of pieces. The little glass that actually stuck to the side of the shelf was easily removed with a screwdriver. Thank you all for all your help. Really I don't think I would have had the courage to go in and remove it without you guys.
