There are only three glasses in this piece - black, vanilla, and gray. The gradation of coloring is the result of silver fuming. There is some fading on subsequent firings, unless if you cap the fumed glass.

I have been able to get a reduction atmosphere in my kiln without burning anything more than the organics many people use routinely in their kilns. While I never tried the reduction frits, I silver fume glass all of the time.
