About reactives - in BE glass

I just got an unexpected dark blue line between on edge gray strips, and it made me think of this thread.

Unfortunately they cam from my scrap bin so it will be awhile before I can say which Greys, they were darker ones. Fired to only a tack fuse (1440/1) as I was just throwing scraps in spare space to see what happened.

Very like the French vanilla on edge lines, I don't think it is a reaction so much as color separation, if that makes sense.

I can post quite a few pics of reactions happening and different glass combinations . Here is one to start with. You almost get a beautiful Fushia colour in between the 1116 Turquoise and the Reactive glass and all sorts of other reactions can be achieved by placing glass side by side and then slice through it. I think this is the key. You will see the reaction best when sliced through it. I will try to find other pics as well. AND try to remember the titles of the glass used. Les

That is a great complement for me. To have anybody think of me while doing something. I am just amazed.

I was seeking a reaction which created turqoise borders. It is my understanding now, that such reaction is caused by the use of silver with glass.

I was told that it is recommended to have a special kiln for working with silver . As silver yields special fumes which are not good for the kiln. So unfortunately it is not good for me....

But thank you the effort, and thank you for thinking of me...
