Sand corner of mold?

Happy holidays to all
Finally have time to get back into my studio and I noticed a couple of the corners on BE molds are deteriorating slightly. Would you recommend sanding them a bit to even it out and then reapplying kiln wash ? Can I reapply kiln wash just to those spots or should I reapply it to the entire mold?

I have done both of those things with no problem. Sometimes have managed to chip a little kiln wash off the rim and just repaired it with a dab of fresh kw and smoothed it with my finger. I guess it depends on how fanatic you might be about a smooth backside.
