I see many questions about how to cut circles successfully, so I finally decided to write a blog post. My method is a little different than others. I hope some of you newer to fused glass find it useful.

Dana: Cutting off the corners of the square is brilliant! Will definately give your process a try on my next circle. Do you have a similar process for cutting rings? Would really like to be able to cut rings as a single piece; have you found that to be consistently possible?

I cut rings the same way, but I won't say my success is consistent  . Sometimes they are perfect, and yep, other times they break (usually, just into two pieces, but sometimes more).

The saving grace is that typically I am cutting 2-3 rings of the same solid color, and so if you stagger the breaks when they are stacked, the breaks are not visible.
