Glasglow kiln for sale

Postby Brad Walker » Sat May 26, 2018 4:39 pm

Great fuser’s kiln for sale. It is a bell kiln with electric winch for raising or lowering with the push of a button. Firing space is 28”x28”x18”tall. Heats from top plus 4 sides near bottom for totally uniform heating above and below shelf. Uses a 24x24 inch shelf (included.) It was designed and built by Glasglow (Phil Teefy} and has a reliable Paragon Rampfire II controller retrofitted with mercury relays. Plugs into a 220v single phase 50 amp outlet. It is a fiber top and firebrick bed for responsive heating and cooling. Mounted on steel wheels for easy positioning. Requires a room with at least a 12’ ceiling and the gantry is disassembled for going through garage door and onto a box truck with hydraulic tailgate or ramps needing 4 people (I have 2.) Located in Richmond VA. Has extra coils and high temp. electric wire and parts. Would cost at least $4,000 to build today. Sale price $1700. Lots of Bullseye glass, frits and molds to be inventoried and priced. Please PM me for further details. (Private message to Warren Weiss)

Correction. The kiln only needs a 9' 3" ceiling. If you have a 10 foot garage ceiling it is easy. Sorry for the confusion. I have a 12 ' ceiling and that number stuck in my mind.

Warren, I am interested - live in Richmond. (Hanover County to be exact) I would have to run electric line to garage etc. I will call you very soon after Christmas entourage leaves. I work at Vis Arts with Jude whom you probably know and would love to talk about possibilities now that I read a 10 ft space would work. Thanks so much... Kim Gordon 804 839 7700
