Latest piece out of the kiln inspired by the beauty of sea urchin shells.
As some of you may recall from a post some weeks ago, the reds were a bit temperamental coming out of the vitrigraph kiln, but I fired this piece real conservatively and so far so good.

Well done,it just goes to prove that all good things come from nature. I keep balking at revisiting my lollipops because of the sheer frustrating in the process to get the right look with setting the short canes in the best spot. It is very simalar to the microscopic veneer of plant sections, mesmirising(?). peace, haydo

Love that gradated pattern. A good example of being inspired by natural patterns. Fun!
