Almost There

Post by Yardic Glassworks »

I've been playing around a bit with getting some multi-colored castings. This was the first practice model.

Looks great. Are you casting them together (or recasting with inclusions), or casting the pieces separately and gluing them in?

Each of the characters, the barrel and the box are cast individually, then placed onto a wax base, reinvested, wax out, clear glass in.... so the piece is one solid piece, no glue. Tim

I'd guess that the first practice model has you fairly excited about where it can take you, I like it. From memory this is part of the natural progression in your work, would be great to see it all at some stage when the time is right. I'm looking at the work and see how it would create much enjoyment in all the processes. peace, haydo
