I like 60 . Lots of laugh lines to show how great life has been. AND half of that playing with glass. Thanks so much Sue. Hey , how are the flatlanders ski team.
My husband is Heli ski guiding up in Terrace, B.C. until April and boy the snow pack is fragile. Crazy year. Les

Flatlanders took a quick trip to Castlegar this weekend. It is south of Lethbridge I believe. What a great opportunity for your hubby! Long time to be away...

Many hugs to you Havi. I love the creative spirit that happens when you try to blend 3 large vessel forms together , each one blending the colour into the next. It is a treat to be able to work this way. Les

#3 of the 3 vessels is flat fired now ready to slump to continue the flow of 3 large vessel forms with connecting colours so it looks as if all through go from one to the other as if one. Here are the two and my table would not be big enough for all three anyways.

Sue , you are MORE than kind. Thankyou . Here is number 3 slumping as we speak. It will be done in 5 days and I will try to take a pic when all 3 are together. Will be hard to photograph but will try. I am happy with the gold and silver windows as I really wanted the last one to be totally different feel but still flow from one to the other.
I am experimenting with thick canes that will hopefully be really unique tooo.
made slight mistake with first attempt as I usually go to Glass Blowing Studio and pull them out hot and you will more control, but this was so very fun ACCEPT I was watching watching watching and then of course I forgot to watch and in 20 minutes my glass had flowed out of my MM6 mold and was curling so nicely 26 inchs down on the kiln floor (on kiln shelf mind you so no loss) BUT I wanted a really nice 2 inch thick cane and now I have some really interesting varying thicknesses which could be cool toooo but not what I wanted. Oh how I laughed.
I do so love to experiment though. NOW I have 3 large cast colour bars I AM TAKING TO THE HOT SHOP ! AND will completely cover in French Vanilla, then stringers and reactive glass then turquiose. Anyways, will try to take pics if you want to see them.

Les (mind you the mistake could have just figured out a beautiful way to make a flowing vessel form. )

P.S. and my Mold Mix 6 mold is still able to slump many more pieces. yeah!!! It was worth also the hard work to make the mold in the first place. If you cannot find your own slumping mold just make one that fits your needs.
