Sending a private message

Post by Lib »

Hmmm. I wrote a PM to a member last night and hit "send", and I'm about 99% sure I got the "message has been sent" screen. This morning I decided to re-read what I'd written, and discovered the message is not in my "sent mail" folder, instead it's sitting in the "outbox". Huh? :-k

At least in the old program
a PM stays in outbox until opened by the recipient.
I guess it is the same here.

Think about outbox as "sent"
and sent as "received"

Ah. Thanks Laurie, I guess I never tried to go back and read what I'd sent before. I like that feature, it's like asking for the read-receipt without that obnoxious box popping up on the recipient's screen.

In this area, the new software is the same as the old. As Lauri says, PMs will stay in the outbox until read by the recipient.
