Other then the Contemporary Warm Glass book, can you recommend
any other excellent books on fusion casting?

Hi Steve......we're neighbors!

Try "Pate de Verre and Kiln Casting" by Danny Fenton and Jim Kirven.
It's a strong tutorial for building molds as well and has step by step process and example photos. Plus it's kind of a fun read - Dan's a character!

Boyce Lundstrom #3 volume, "Glass Casting and Mold Making" is good, too.

One book to keep an eye out for will be by Rene Culler. I can't remember when it is going to be out- I think in one year. But it is planned to be BIG with BIG pictures and useful sections explaining why glass does what it does in the kiln environment. So it will be pretty enough for a coffee table type of book but it will have a lot of useful info for casters that many other books gloss over- the whys: Why does it strike? Reduce? Make that little line between the yellow and the white? Devitrify? Stuff like that.
I'm looking forward to it because the only casting book I have is by Lundstrom. (It's good enough!)
