Double-wall ceramic fiber molds

Is anyone familiar with Etsuko Nishi's process of making molds using crushed ceramic fibers and CMC for thin, double-layered forms? There's an article about this process in an old GAS journal and she describes using "ready-crushed ceramic fibers from Shinagaway Refractories Co". Any idea about this material and where it might be obtained in the US?
