Here's a nice little video about Ann Robinson -- http://vimeo.com/74539795
Highlights: her new work from last summer; high quality, computer generated, rubber molds with fiberglass shells used to make wax models; various shop shots; she has a large opening in the upper part of her kiln through which she lifts a stopper out of the bottom of the crucible -- thus the glass gets rid of bubbles before pouring into the mold; de-molding massive piece wet, (she gets flashing, just like the rest of us); a cool cold working turntable; tea with assistants; cold working by assistants.
Her mold recipes are in "Glass Notes" by Henry Halem. She adds cellulose fiber to her molds so they are porous. Her recipes make for very stiff mixes because she builds them up around the waxes by hand rather than pour the plaster into a box mold.
