So where do you get wax for molding? I can't believe how expensive the stuff I find is, $140 for 10 lbs. Thanks for any info

I get mine from Reynolds Advanced Materials - http://www.reynoldsam.com. They have 10 stores; I don't know if one is near you. If not, search for other local sculpture supply stores.

That looks like a cool website, I honestly didn't see Microcrystalline Wax on there. There are no local stores as I live on Maui so ordering is my only choice.

I did find this place for good cheap Victory Brown Wax. http://shop.clay-planet.com/victory-bro ... e-wax.aspx

Now I just have to figure out what plaster I want to use.

Thanks again

Hi Chris,

If you haven't already gone with someone else you can also try The Compleat Sculptor. I order most of my stuff from them.

$84 for a 10lb slab of Victory Brown.

OP - you want hard micro-crystalline. Don't accidentally buy white/amber - soft and flexible. Hard is sometimes referred to as jewelers wax.
