Hi Lisa,

My wife and I were just in Memphis this last Saturday.

Judd-

I know that there are some folks in Missouri and Alabama, but as far as being really close, I am probably it.

I'm in Fort Worth, TX.

I know there are several who post from TX. But don't know of anyone besides you in the Little Rock area.

Bummer.

I was feeling quite alone here in Arkansas, and now I know why.

Hi ya' Judd......we're one hour north of St Louis on the Miss' river and a few more hours northerly-east from you. But still in the same mid-west geographic neck of the woods.

Isn't it nice to have this internet glass community to take the edge off living and working alone as a glassie in the hinterlands?

I think it was Menkel who called Arkansas the, "Sahara of the Bozarks."

I just did a craft fair in Pine Bluff. The guy across from me was selling imports from China. Behind him was a lady who pained empty Crisco oil containers to look like pigs for piggy banks.

It was NOT a great craft fair.

Judd -

Don't feel too bad. When my husband and I want to see beautiful scenery, we come to Arkansas even if the areas are slightly north of Little Rock. Have you ever been to Blanchard Springs Caverns? It is one of the least known natural wonders of the world. It is slightly north of Mountain View. It is mind boggling.

If you ever come through Tulsa, stop by and say hello.
