looking for collapsible directors chair for travel

does anyone know of a collapsible director's chair that might be light enuf and collapse small enuf to fit in a 30" suitcase? i would like to have one i can take to bead shows and possible fit in the suitcase with the rest of the stuff ;P
i've not had much luck searching thru google...

How about a camping store? Those collapsible stools?
You could get one of those Dick Blick director chairs and cut the legs, figure out a way to put an extender/coupler on them....
Ikea's got a nice tall folding stool with a back, just the right height, almost cheap enough to buy and leave at each show (you just have to do shows in areas with Ikea stores).

I talked to them the other day about this chair. They said it is being redesigned at the present time and won't be ready until spring. Give them a look.

lol i've seen the dick blick chairs and i'm thinking one of their stools would be good for the studio for saw work but i don't think they are gonna work for traveling....

ikea - that a store y'all have up there in the north? i was hoping i could find a tall folding stool but so far no luck - does ikea have a website?

The Pier One Directors Chair is the best for doing shows because you sit at a high level (stool height) and your eyes are not too low to have a conversation with a standing person. The catch is that they are collapsible but not small or light.

I always say that mine is designed by that famous chair designer Pierre Onay better known in America as Pier One.

actually pacific chair makes a wonderfull director's chair for shows that beats the pier one - same height but better support for back and legs - i have that one for shows i can drive to, i'm trying to find one i can pack in my suitcase for the bead shows i fly to ;P i have one from pier one i use when i'm spending quality time with my tile saw
