Glass Studio Setup

Post by Cherie Knopf »

Hi,

We are setting up our home studio and wondering if anyone has posted pictures of different examples of their own studios? In particular, what sort of cabinets or storage do people like to use to store all their different glass? We are looking at getting a cabinet made and looking for pictures of ideas. Thanks!

I store sheets of glass in a pretty simple wire rack. I found dividers that are typically used to inventory control (they are notched and fit in with tension) to separate the sheets...you can space these as close or as far as you want. And I put a piece of foam at the bottom of each shelf to cushion the glass. I can see what I have and the sheets are pretty well protected....plus I can modify the rack as needed.

My source was global industrial but I'm sure other suppliers carry this stuff.

...here's the link to the dividers.... http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/stora ... id-shelves
