fused glass lampshade

I want to experiment with making fused glass lampshades. My question is what is the best way to form the opening for the vase cap and how to attach it.

diamond core drill. There are dozens of instructions in the archives.

when you lay out the glass for fusing you could leave the space you need to wire the shade,anyway that is how i produce them,check my web site ep
