Stainless Steel mold ???????

Post by Bryan »

I have a stainless steel bowl with no lip at the
top, just a small edge that is the thickness
of the steel. Can my glass that I will slump into this
mold hang over the rim/lip? 1/2" to 3/4" inches outside?
I learned a few days back this will not work
on a ceramoc drop through.
Thanks

Depends on how smooth the edge is. If it is a nice rolled edge, and not a rough saw cut , I am guessing it will work. Other factors are the height and diameter of the form, but if the edge is smooth I think it will work. Just don't forget to kiln wash it.

It is a saw cut, but has been ground smooth.
6 to 7" in diameter and 3" high.
