What to do with vitrigraph stuff

I really like the sqares... they contrast nicely with the flowing lines, and I also like having the touch of green in there... makes it look a lot better, IMHO.

I have been going crazy with the vitrograph this last week, which I have wanted to use for years. I am definitely using them 3-D, so no slumping for me. I am keeping them in long narrow boxes, like for long-stemmed roses. Jim, your image didn't show on my screen, and I'd love to see it.

When that thread started and the picture was posted I was in Miami. A little has changed since so it isn't surprising the picture doesn't post. But I save everything so here it is again.

It was a cool piece and is now in my daughter's collection. Maybe this will motivate me to make another.

Nina, look again there are 4 vitrigraph pieces posted under "Small Bowls".

There is also a large black platter in the "Platters" section that I think is one of my better pieces especially using vitrigraph. Here's a picture and there are closeup on my site.

Check my website; all pieces in the top row are made with murrini. Currently working on a piece inspired by a sea urchin shell. Will post pic when/if it reaches the finishing line...I haven't made a pattern bar in a very long time.

Nina, she's making her own vitrograph canes and then cutting them into murrini. At least that's my guess.

A few days ago someone posted abou "Hot Box".
The desription sounded like Vitrigraph.

1. Is there any difference?
2. Are both terms good to use?

A Hot Box is the name for a type of kiln made by Evenheat. It can be used as a vitrigraph, if modified.
