Judaica - searching for sedar plate glass bowls

Post by bskirwin »

I am making fused glass sedar plates and am searching for small clear shallow glass bowls to place on top of the sedar plates. Does anyone have a source for these bowls?? They need to be simple, clear and cheap. Thanks. Barbara

I know of a store that you can buy them in, but Bert is right, again, you should slump your own.
And you can get a pen gold ink and write the names on the dishes even.

I was going to slump them, but don't have the right mold, and thought that buying them would be just as easy... If you know of a source that would be great. I have searched the web and come up empty. Barbara

Hi, Barbara--

I saw just this past weekend some small, clear glass bowls in Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I think they might be what you're looking for-- they were app. 2" high by 1 1/2" across. They were in the kitchen section. You might check their web site as well. I believe they were called "condiment bowls", so you might try a search under that. Good luck!

In Coconut Creek Florida there is an outlet mall called Festival Flee Market. It sometimes is called the Sample Flee Market cause it is on Sample Road.

In the back there is a Judiaca shop. That shop has the cups. Off the top of my head I can't think of the name of the shop now.
