removing bubbles

Post by Beau Lyons »

With clear casting using Resins, a method to remove bubbles is to saturate the surface of the liquid resin with Carbon Dioxide, CO2.
I do not know how it works but it does work.
Has anyone tried infusing CO2 into the kiln to remove bubbles from the hot glass.

A reducing environment will frig up your elements. The resin thing is as much a function of heat as co2. Rosanna

I will check with kiln manufacturers,
I have been informed it is not a function of heat.
