First work done

Post by Sobrien »

With the holidays behind us I have competed my fist work. Thoughts? I'm trying to bring wood and glass together and need feedback. Getting ready to start on my second piece Wednesday night.

Thanks in advance

The two "waves" are a little too symmetrical for me, and I would likely have had the wood grain run horizontally, but I like your idea of combining the wood and the glass and the movement you get from the wood grain and swirl of the glass.

Looks like you are having fun -- how are you combining the two media? Silicone?

Thanks for posting!

Yeah - I have a thought: Wow!

I think it's beautiful, and the piece certainly has expanded my view of fusing possibilities. I would have offset the strip pieces horizontally, and perhaps not made them identical shapes.

Thanks for the share.
