Starfish

After dealing with thermal shock because my kiln depth is so short I finally managed to make something without it cracking in the drape mold. :D

fantastic!
What kind of glass do you use? Is it compatible leftovers?
This type of work I have done using punty pint from a gassblower friend.
It is clear glass with surface colour. When shelf melted to a blank the color forms thin veils within the blank.

Another nice effect comes when youcombine shelf melt with potmet.
Some chunks I set on the shelf, they keep some of the shape. Over that potmelt pours more glass that forms rivulets between the chunks.

The glass came from a roll out I did in Richard la Londe's master class. When the piece cracked I just placed the two together on the mold and slumped it. It's clear glass with frit and stringer. I am happy with it considering it took me three tries.
